EGR repeated fault

Featured Replies

Ocativia 1.6 FSI with 95k mileage: I was getting the below fault between every 100 to 200 miles.  The performance and driving was unaffected.

  P0401 - 002 - Insufficient Flow - Intermittent - MIL ON

I changed the EGR valve with a new genuine unit (is costly)  and carried out a VCDS EGR reset.  The fault still comes up every 100 to 200 miles after I clear it. No effect on driving/performance.

Replacement hasn't resolved the above problem. Has anyone got ideas why this is happening and what could resolve this?

Same issue here( octavia mk2 2.0 tdi BKD) aparently vacum solenoid needs changing in order to fix fault. Havent tryed it yet

Recently, the fault has been coming up more often:   P0401 - 002 - Insufficient Flow - Intermittent - MIL ON

I looked around the engine but it seems the petrol does not have a vacuum solenoid or I am unable to locate it?. Does anyone know if there is Solenoid vacuum and its location in 1.6 FSI Octavia.
