ECU Questions

Featured Replies

Dont listen to what any mechanic or breakdown person with a generic fault code reader tells you, they will not have the facts at their disposal.

VCDS will give you all the related and unrelated fault codes, I always have a bunch of them on my car, I know whats causing them and they can remain, others enabled me to repair faults before I had breakdowns where someone with a generic reader would have told me I need a new ECU, if I connect my generic reader it tells me there are no fault codes and no stored fault codes, generis codes are only concerned with component failures that would put a vehicle outside of emissions limits, an engine that wont run does not create emissions = no fault found "you need a new ECU mate!"
