mobile phone Hands free advice please

Featured Replies

Hi guys can someone recommend a mobile phone Hands free set or parrot or system that's tried and tested on the mk2 scout (2007) I have no ideal what a parrot is mind you just heard it being talked about on here somewhere,

I would like to buy a sat nav unit one day but I dont want to lose my steering controls and unless its plug and play I would not know how to wire it in.

not sure if links are allowed but an ebay link to something would really help

thanks guys

If you intend to get a sat nav sometime and aren't worried about it being wired in, a lot of the Garmin Sat Nav's also operate as hands free, connecting via bluetooth. I used one for years without any problems.

Parrot CK3100 LCD works great in our Mk2 FL VRS.

You also need a bracket to fix it to the dash.

We have the 71085 (I think that's it) as it's easy to see the screen and so it doesn't keep getting knocked by people getting in and out of the passenger seat.

Fit the mic below the rear view mirror to minimise picking up wind noise.

Hope that helps.

I was thinking about a built in sat nav as its big and I cant see worth a **** lol

what head unit have you got?. I have a bolero and have gone for the ficson plus. The good thing is it operates pretty much like OEM and I simply link my phone to it via BT. Also stream music to it this way too.

Another option is a android HU, there's loads out there and some are quite affordable.
