Fuel Tank Capacity increase?

Featured Replies

I was under the impression that the Kodiaq fuel tank capacity is 60 litres, yet I notice the Skoda configurator is today quoting for a number of Kodiaq permutations: Fuel tank content 63 litres + 8 litres safety reservoir.

Is this a MY20 change or anybody know anything more?

4WDSkoda's usually have 5 litre extra capacity over FWD versions. Octavia front driven 50 litres, 4 x 4 has 55 litres. Not sure on the Kodiaq but Karoq is same as Octavia also.

The April 2019 UK Kodiaq Pricing & Specification leaflet simply quotes fuel tank capacity of 60 litres for all models both 2WD and 4x4.

According to Skoda my 2016 (Mk3) Superb had a 66 litre tank but managed to squeeze in over 70 litres once.:o

But you never 'squeezed' it in the tank, the tank being a vessel with a capacity

you will have filled it up the pipe, and maybe even vented it. So maybe filled into the expansion area.

Mk2 Fabia petrols with 45 litre tanks are good for getting in 52 litres, and sometimes more 'venting' the tank.

Not that you would want to park up without having used some of the extra fuel you added. Certainly not in the sun.

I managed 54 litres in my ventected 45 litre tank once (6L shape Seat cordoba, same as mk1 fabia)

I thought with the Skodiaq, it was 58L 2wd and 60L 4wd? Both too small! (I hate filling up :D)

I wouldn't trust any of Skoda UK's marketing as far as I could throw it.
