End of the road?

Featured Replies

From another Forum, it seems the 1.5 TSI 150PS DSG 4x4 engine variant for the Kodiaq will cease to be available to order in Germany at least - Skoda’s largest European market - as from mid-May 2019, whether SUK will follow suit here is tba.

How popular a combination is it? I sorta think the 1.5 needs to be 2wd - it’s main selling point is to be fuel efficient but 4x4 kinda ruins that! You can see that when you look at the 2.0 TSI. CO2 etc is practically the same

i think on the old 1.4 they even disabled ACT on the 4x4s?

Nope, my 1.4 TSI 4x4 has ACT.

I didn't buy the small petrol for fuel economy, I bought it because the car covers low annual mileage, the 150PS is more than ample for us and it was quite a chunk cheaper than the diesels.

Haha, Fuel efficient and Kodiaq in the same sentence..

I had a hard time deciding between the small petrol and diesel engine. Both are rated at 150ps and the ownership costs would be about the same

(marginally better fuel economy on diesel and diesel is cheaper here  than petrol but the road tax is higher. But with our mileage it would be break even after ~3years and cheaper from there)

But our daily driving is only several shorter trips so even trough i actual prefer the low down torque of a diesel we bought a petrol.  Paid almost 59.000£ for it on the road and it only a Style with a some extras...

Now I own one I realise how big it is and how unlikely it is to be economical 😂

Well, when I get my bear with that exact engine, we will see what I can get for mpg.  Think I feel a challenge coming on!
