My son in law has offered me a Superb 1.8 tsi se estate , manual , 1 owner 75,000 miles full service history and sales invoice from new .  Anything to look for . Peter 

If the SIL is the one owner from new then he will know the car well, and maybe you can trust him.

 

There can be Timing Chain issues with 1.8TSI of a certain age, check the pinned thread at the top of the Octavia Mk2 section.

Ask the SIL how often the car needs oil top ups between services.

As above, you'll need some 'brave pills' to buy a 1.8TSI...
