Central locking beep

Featured Replies

howdy all.

I am taking delivery of my new Octi vrs during the third week in April. I was just wondering has anyone here been able to activate the automatic door locking on moving off and the "Beep" on Locking. I would really appreciate it if you could let me know what section of the Vag-Com I need to go into to activate these features. Also, will the Vag-com that worked on the Octi 1 work with my new one.

The coding of the conveinance system is a little different with the new Octavia. I believe the newer latter editions of VAG COM allow hexidecimal (or long) coding though. Best bet though is just to ask your delaer to do it before you pick the car up. Its a simple operation with dealer diagnostic equipment and they allready have it plugged in anyhow.

My local friendly dealer ;) coded mine for auto locking when over 15Km/hr, and removed the annoying 2 zaps of key fob to open all doors.

He said there was nothing to beep to acknowledge doors locked though, although with a non factory alarm would beep I think....derek might be able to confirm this.

Dealer did mine free of charge as it was in for it's first service so diagnostic tool would have been connected anyway. I kept the anti jacking 1 press for drivers door open as I feel it's a good safety feature.

There are no roger beep associated with CDL.

Post your question in the VAG-COM section. Who knows, someone nearby may have the relavent gear to help you out.

The latest Ross-Tech HEX-USB+CAN and HEX-COM+CAN interfaces do with VAG-COM release 512.4. I haven't connected mine to a New Octavia yet to see what sort of readout one gets when playing with Adaptation.
