Struggling to figure out which card I should get to update my sat nav.

Is this a 310 or a 315?

If the sat nav works with no SD or CD inserted, it's an rns 315.

 

If you need either a map CD or map SD card inserted, it's a rns 310.

On the site where I bought mine they had details on how to find out which model and map version you have.

 

 

How to define which unit is fitted in the car: Amundsen (RNS310) or Amundsen + (RNS315):
Press SETUP and hold about 10 sec. On-screen choice "Versions"
A (RNS310) has only 3 information lines:
Part number
Software versions
Hardware versions

Amundsen + (RNS315) have 5 information lines: 
Part number
Software versions
System hardware versions
Navigation data
Part number
Navigation data: version

I just remembered having had both 310 and 315, the 315 has DAB radio.

The 315 might have DAB, but then again it might not. It might also have Bluetooth but then again it might not. Simpler just to run with Langer's way of diagnosis. If you need media inserted for sat nav then it's a 310.
