Fabia III - Speaker upgrade Help

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New to the forum but cannot find this information online at all.

Im looking to upgrade the speaker kit in the Fabia III Monte Carlo Its a 66 plate if that helps..

I cannot find any information on the speaker dimensions or depth etc. and was wondering if any of you have any useful information on this.

I appreciate that the speaker quality in the MKIII is considerably better than the MkI and II but just want to see if they can be replaced for aesthetics and clarity purposes. Theyre a little rattly sometimes and lack definition when turning it up etc.

Really appreciate the help / advice.

Thank you all very much :)

I've had a look around myself a while ago and couldn't find anything specific.

You're probably best off just pulling the door panels off and measuring them yourself, then look about for best quality speakers at that size and impedance (ohm) rating.

Don't stray too far from the OEM impedance as you could end up with them being too quiet if it's too high or get distortion if it's too low.

You might get an improvement by swapping the amp out, don't ask me anything about that though, i'm not sure where it is or if it's a built in one in the stereo or what by default. Pairing good speakers with a good amp will get you even better results.

While you're in the door panels, secure any wiring where possible with cable ties, should help prevent some rattles later down the line. Helped with mine at least.
