I have seen, that people remove the flap from the intake. Pic below.

 

Generally anything like that has the theory that it reduces the flow restrictions on the intake system, thusly getting more air into the engine faster. This means the engine will also i crease the fuel rate a smidge to maintain the combustion mix ratio, and thus gives a bit more power. Hiw much more... well, thats debatable..
