Plenty around to map for you.

One of the best here.

Who is it selling the car?

The warranty goes out the window with the Re-map so i would be driving it at least a couple of months to see all is well.

So I’m just back from the test drive and decided to purchase the car. Got a service and 6 months warranty thrown in too. Pretty sure I’ll get it mapped. Thanks for the recommendation but I’m in central Scotland. Looking at getting the car early next week after it’s had the service and valet. Appreciate your help.

Great stuff Mat, I’m sure after your test drive you realise how underrated the Fabia is, they’re a lovely drive. I don’t think your location is any problem if you decide to use Celtic Tuning their mobile technicians cover the whole of the UK even though their base is in Cornwall. With a remap to 130bhp it should be pretty perky and a little more economical if you decide not to use the extra performance.

From experience and knowledge i would stay clear of Celting Tuning for a remap on a 1.2 TSI, especially when there are those that can do better.

The other thing is.  First find out if there is a Remap already done on the ECU, there easily can be.

Also see what other setting might not be on 'factory settings'.

So see if the car is still standard. It might not be.

I bought it from a part of the CDW, think they sell the traded in cars from the Eastern Honda dealer as their office was in the Honda show room. @Skoffski

The car has had 1 lady owner so doubt it will have had any mods but will be sure to check.

What have you got against Celtic Tuning, have you ever used them ?

I know people that have used Celtic Tuner dealers in Scotland for 1.4 TSI and 1.2 TSI.

Best avoided, especially because there are good proven Remaps available from Tuners with a Dyno.

But if there are those that have a recommended Dealer of Cetlic Tuning maps in the South / Central Scotland then this forum should be able to have people that know who they are.

@Mat1210

You would not want a car i sell you with my 94 year old mum as the one lady owner & me as the driver.

Or one that Mrs Hertz or Budget-Rent-A-Car owned.

If you check the Celtic Tuning website you can check out the dyno printout for the 1.2tsi, I think it’s a bit unfair to bad mouth a company you’ve had no personal dealings with, I have used them and found their service to be exemplary and can recommend them.

 Good.

Each to their own.  Maybe anyone in Scotland want to check the Dealers here for Customers recommendations.

You get what you pay for sometimes, and sometimes if issues you get rubbered and poor after sales service.

If you check a REVO/ APR or TMC Tuning Box Dyno Print out and see what might be achieved on 98 ron, and ask if they used 98 ron and where they bought it and the answers get a bit hazzie.
