Evening folks!

Very excited, I've just put a deposit on a brand spanker VRS245 Estate in Black, with spare wheel. can't wait to get it....!

It's been a long journey to finally see the great value of the Skoda brand. We've had a new Seat, several new & used VW's (GTi & GTD) an Audi TT & Audi A3 Sportback Black Edition. We went and looked at a Golf GTi last week but didn't like it (the VC) then went to a Skoda dealer and sat in a VRS estate & hatch. It immediately felt right and the Estate seemed best for the dog & my work stuff.

Looking forward to joining in the discussions, I was aware of the forum, it gets mentioned in other places as a great source of knowledge & info!

Hoping to purchase a 2.0l TSi Sportline/Laurin & Klement variant at some point soon. My budget may result in me seeking out a vehicle with 95K onwards on the clock. I’ll be only considering something with a full comprehensive service history. My understanding is that I shouldn’t worry about cam chain tensioners as they go on and on. But do they? So is there anything I should really looking out for? Thanks

This might be just a coincidence. But I have just had a new windscreen fitted following a rock being thrown up by a lorry's wheels hitting it, which left a small chip, which after a few days became a long crack and was growing. The screen was replaced last week, and yesterday I discovered the seat was not responding to the controls. I cannot see any fuse listed in the owner's manual which states it supplies power to the seats. The driver's seat is working as usual, which made me think it must b

Real world range from hybrid battery?

I'm driving a 2024 1.5 TSI PHEV (plug in hybrid) superb estate. I've never plugged it in though, only ever driven it on petrol. The manufacturers claimed battery range is 75 miles but can anyone tell me what I can expect in the real world? Just for info... Over the 20 months I've had it I average about 40/41mpg. It drops to about 36/38mpg in winter and up to 44/45mpg in summer.
