Air Con pressure switch?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, first time poster.

I have a 2012 Fabia 2 vRS. I've just replaced my ac compressor, but am now told it's actually the high pressure switch in the Aircon system. Does anyone know which part number I need to order and where the switch is located? He said it's behind the dash....unsure about that. Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

The original problem was my Aircon stopped blowing cold, and the radiator fans would start on high instantly when the car was given power, due to the hi pressure switch probably reading wrong.

It's a pressure sensor, not a pressure switch.

It's in the engine bay, not under the dash.

See item 14 here https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2012-697/2/260-260041/ 1K0959126E, probably, for your car, though don't be surprised if you're offered 5K0959126 as a supersedence. AFAIK they're all the same fit and function.

If the layout is similar to a mk1, it's right in front of the expansion tank.

Always aim to buy the latest version as VW Group have had lots of issues with these devices across their car ranges, if you do not know this, there is a self sealing valve below this sensor so unscrew it quickly to minimise the release of R134A and same thing screwing the new one in. As said above, you should find this sensor on the smaller bore fridge pipe at the RHS near the front, it will obviously have a connector with wires on it.

Hi ,

As per your statement , you say that radiator fan is running in high speed , that's due to the "External Temperature Senor" failure / malfunction mostly which will be located behind the Fog lamp. Try checking it first. as well is the temperature reading in the dash board is showing the correct value ??

 Cheers..

Dunno, maybe the weld has cracked between pipe and sensor fitting?
