Missing locking wheel nut key

Featured Replies

So somehow I have managed to get a nail in my tyre and cannot find the locking wheel nut key anywhere. I’ve turned the car upside down and the garage but can’t find it anywhere.

Im aware that there are only a certain amount of different patterns they use for the skoda wheel nut keys. I have attached some photos of one of the nuts on the wheel.

I don’t suppose by any slim chance anyone has any idea what model number it is so I can order a new one urgently???

Any assistance will be hugely appreciated.

Many thanks

Mark

Try: 00007159C. Think it costs bout £50ish from the dealer in Northampton. That's for the dealer to supply the locking key and 4 new wheel bolts.

Personelly I'd ring the dealer first to see if they've got it on the shelf first and conferm its the right one before parting with your money.

Fogot a bit!

I did some thinking on this recently and decided that they are more trouble than they are worth. I'm binning mine soon. When's the last time you heard of someone trying to nick a set of wheels?

Edit: sorry, my point was to spend the money on removing the locking nuts and replace them with standard ones.

I agree. First thing I do on any car is remove the locking wheel nuts and replace with standard. Everyone has alloys so no one nicks them. Plus, with the little covers on, no one knows you don't have locking wheel nuts anyway! They are so easy to remove with an undersized hammered on socket that they are worthless.

Run the car in to a local tyre fitter they usually have some nut keys laying about ,or can usually get em off for you its not that hard

Sorry to ask the obvious, but I presume you have checked in the spare wheel well / puncture repair kit under the boot floor?
