Mk2 Estate boot trim removal to access wiper motor

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I've done a few searches of the forums and youtube looking for rear wiper motor replacement on the superb estate. Loads of advice for other VAG cars but the interior trim seems to be unique to the model?

I've got the wiper arm off (an exercise in itself) but now need to access the motor on the inside. The boot trim seems to be entirely clipped in place - no screws visible at all.

Does anyone have a reference or link on how to remove the trim without destroying it? Mine has plenty of scratches from the years so the odd mark I'm not worried about. Just don't want to snap it off!

Many thanks,

Jon

You have to remove the screw in the inside handle section. The rest is held with clips. Unclip everything and make sure not to loose or bend any.
