Octavia ,,Service now" reset

Featured Replies

Hi, can I reset Service now message without diagnostic cable? In youtube I found only how to reset oil inspection but Service now is still blinking while starting/finishing the road.

Thanks.

It's probably flashing away because it's in urgent need of attention, stop skimping, get it sorted before something more serious and significant goes wrong with it such as a seizure and you get a very large repair bill.

Or he does his own servicing...?.....😉

I'll give you that one. 😁

I ignore the service messages and just get the car serviced every year.

No, seriously, today I tried to reset service with diagnostic tool Delphi (2016) and VCDS but it did not work. Any ideas? How do you guys do the reset without the service?

With VCDS.... a genuine version of it.

1. Switch off ignition

2. Press the right hand side of the trip reset button (button 3 in the attached picture).

3. Holding that button down, simultaneously turn on the ignition, hold button until “DELETE INSPECTION ? “appears in the display.

4. Release the button 3

5. Press the button 3 again and the inspection message should be reset.

Try this, works for me.

Hi.

Oil change and inspection are two different things.

you can only clear oil change by the buttons and inspection needs to be clear using the diagnostic tools.

That's because oil and service have different intervals.

If you set up identical intervals for both of them (using ex. Delphi) then you can clear both using the buttons on the dashboard.
