I've joined up as i'm thinking of buying  a Octavia mark 3 1.4 TSi  estate to replace my trusty 1999 VW passat TDI estate which may not be cost effective  to pass it's next MOT in a couple of months .  I'm hoping that the Octavia will be as reliable as the Passat which I've owned for 17  years and has done 210k miles and is still on the original clutch and exhaust ! . I service and maintain the car myself  and it's never let me down so I'm hoping that i can do the same with an Octavia estate - I plan to keep the car for a long time so I'm not bothered about a dealer service record and hopefully I'm doing my bit for the environment by moving away from a diesel as I now do less than 10k miles p.a.  so here's hoping that an Octavia estate will be a sensible replacement.
