Due to a good reason remap is out so was looking at a Racechip. Was only thinking for an S so another 50ish hp.

 

Anybody actually using one or has experience of one on a mk3?

I haven't had any experience with Racechip, but have heard stories of them throwing CELs if the settings are wrong. Have you thought about getting a JB4? Imo they are the most advanced and the safest plug-in module out there.

What's the reason that a remap is out ?

 

If it's the age old , they will never know that I've had it mapped because I can remove it. This isnt true. Everything you do to a car these days leaves a digital footprint and if they look hard enough "warranty claim" they will find it. 

 

Chuck your money at a custom remap and have a better piece if mind that it's running spot on.
