Don't let muppets touch your car.

Skoda UK know if they paid for '34F7', and the Dealership can check if it shows on the system as done.

Sticker in the spare tyre well showing that done if so, or there should be.

If the Water Pump needs doing some Dealership Master techs put through on Warranty and some do not.

Since you just got the car, they have messed you about, acted stupid with Spark Plugs etc, push for a Warranty Claim on the Water Pump,

and not just 20% goodwill or such nonsense.

Rest assured I won't be spending any money and the garage I bought it from will cover costs for items under warranty etc.

Had an independent review by a local specialist today. He read misfires on cylinders 1 to 3 at startup, then when driving, having popped in some donor ignition coils, misfires read on all four cylinders. He suspects more deeper and time consuming issues, could be valves etc, timing belt stretched. He doesn't think the water pump would create the kind of misfires he's seeing as that would constitute more of a drop in power. He also noted it was strange to see misfires in all four cylinders. I need to speak to the place I bought the car from and take it from there. I  not sure if taking the car back to the skoda dealer for free review is going to achieve anything?

I did the North Coast 500 in a vRS in Limp mode when needing a new water pump, power was just fine up to 3,500 rpm.

So that was 1,100 miles total with a great fuel economy keeping to NSL's.

Funny things Twin Chargers.

As to the 2 cylinders on start up and then misfires on all 4 with donor ignition coils, strange.

The juddering and misfires is from all rpm, but worse as the car warms up and then eml and epc if driven over 3-4k rpm which I've avoided since these issues materialised after 1 week of ownership. I'm slightly at a loss as to what to do but will speak to the various parties and decide next steps.

I posted in another thread earlier but in terms of an update, the misfires across all four cylinders were not deemed to be electrical, but mechanical issues. As the car was within 30 days of purchase and next steps would be a 5 to 6 hour engine strip down, I returned the car and received an immediate refund. I've chased to find out what the issue was but have yet to hear back. I then found a main dealer with a 13 plate mk2 vrs so have purchased that. Aside from a slight aircon noise (being looked at tomorrow) so far so good.

With a 2012 on CTHE vRS check if it needed and got service campaign '34H5' on the DSG.  A software update.

http://skoda.co.uk/about-us/contact-us

Get the service history and warranty history.

Has it needed a software update on the engine ECU, a Oil Consumption Test or a Timing Belt check.

These are all covered by TPI's that Main Dealership staff should know about and check / read.

?

How many miles has it done?

What does the sticker show.  '34H5'.?

a 2013 vRS should not have needed '34F7',  but some had that done by muppets without a clue.

?

So what is the full history as they do not do much.

?

in 2016 & 2018 was the brake fluid changed.

in 2017 or sooner was the spark plugs and air filter changed?

Has the pollen filter been changed in 2015,2017 & 2019?

34H5, stamp is from the dealer I bought it from.

34.5k miles, now tipped over 35k miles.

in 2017 or sooner was the spark plugs and air filter changed? Yes in 2017

in 2016 & 2018 was the brake fluid changed.? Yes (due next July)

Has the pollen filter been changed in 2015,2017 & 2019? Yes

MOT no advisories and it had a service just prior to purchase (plus a new windscreen due to small crack).

Only issue is slight aircon noise (sounds like fridge, gas recirculation), think it hasn't had that serviced so will get it checked/sorted tomorrow. I reported it on the drive home after picking the car up.
