Would these issues put you off buying a second hand car?

Featured Replies

TL:DR I'd walk away.

That panel gap is way out, and while not a problem in itself, it is a sign of the attitude of the dealer/previous owner towards the car. You sound like a fussy guy, which I can relate to.

There's probably a host of little things that are wrong with the car that a careful owner (such as yourself) would have not put up with, or a that decent dealer would have put right before offering it for sale.

I might be way out on this, but my gut instinct is to walk away, every time.

It *does* make buying a new car a very slow and tedious process, though. :D

So glad I didn't buy.

Only took a few days and a car that does meet my standards came up. It has been bought!

Congrats, post a picture.
