almost had a wasted 8 hour journey

Featured Replies

I just had a lucky escape having enquired about a 2017 Citigo at a main dealer, who assured me it was the revised version because it had the cradle inside, instead of the PID. Luckily, they sent me a video, which highlighted the fact that it is clearly not the facelifted version. lesson learned, check every detail before travelling any distance.

What is the advantage of the later cradle over the PID?

Personally, I like the PID. It does the job, and I can just leave it where it is all the time. Continually fitting my phone into a universal cradle would be a pain.

None I can think of. The PID could be a bit flaky at times but the phone cradle is just crap IMHO.

I agree with Tech1e, the later phone cradle set up is a load of s*** and horrible to use. With regards the OP, the facelift amounts to the bonnet crease and redesigned front fogs. Whoop-de-do.
