I had my first electronic failure in my karoq. 6 geared manual. 

 

The auto start stop reported error and not working, this problem hides lots of other things 

After my visit into the dealer there where two errors, one missing message from abs module

And one intermediate error from the neutral gear sensor

In ODIS we saw that the correspond Value of the neutral gear sensor when the lever is on nuetrual was out of the limits 

So for the neutral the value was 35%-40%  my value was 34.7%

That supposed to trigger the auto start stop error. 

 

There is also one more thing that the diagnosis didn't catch

When I engage the  5th gear the MFD shows it as 6th.  Doesnt recognise it. 

And if sometimes recognise it if I hit the break a little bit the 5th gear in MFD turns into 6th!!

If I change to 6th shows it as 6th. 

The feeling of  the drive is perfectly normal nothing mechanical involved, the driving is perfectly fine. 

There's sonething with the sensor. 

 

We ordered a new sensor to see if the values are OK  and if we are error free.

We have changed the gearbox neutral position sender G701 with new ,  located in the gearbox . But the problem persist 

AUTO START STOP:ERROR

 

ODIS indicates the next sensor to be investigated  clutch pedal position sender G476

Crikey! Some gubbins involved there!

  For future reference if someone has the same problem, i changed the tire circumference by coding Virtual Copkit with VCDS and did the trick Everything is perfect so happy..
The clue is that VC thought I had big wheels 
I change to the appropriate Value and everything is perfect. So the VC or Dashboard calculates the shift gear proposal and the current shift gear

 

Imagine know how close are all the clusters in the car and how much they influence each other!!!

Was the car delivered to you with the incorrect Virtual cockpit settings?

No the VC was retrofired , everything was ok , except the parameter of the tire circumference . the VC thought i was wearing 19" but my real size is 16" . 

i changed to the appropriate value , cleared the errors, and the errors are gone even after 50km , 

So when the gear was 5th, the VC thought that i was in 6th , because the Tires was set like 19" 

this exact time when i was changing into 5th , the neutral gear sensor error popped. and auto start stop Error come . So every single module is connected with each other and send data everywhere

anyway this is  happy ending
