Air Filter

Featured Replies

I just replaced the air filter on my 2016 1.2 Yeti.  That is the most fiddly air filter I have ever done. Why do they make it so you have to take off 3 pipes, 2 with spring clips and remove the whole air box to turn it over and change the filter. Really !!!   Could VW not of designed a way that the top just opened as it was to change the filter inside without having to remove the whole airbox ?

I can see me changing those 2 spring clips to jubilee clips next time, that should make it a bit easier.

Is that the 1.2 TSI 110? The 105 is very easy and takes a few minutes!

Yes, the Cambelt 110 engine. Ridiculous design, it took me a good ½ hour.
