2020 vrs

Featured Replies

Anyone know when I can order the new 2020 VRS ,

a) any links to what it looks like ( no pics of a wrapped car with **** bolted on)

b) differences from the outgoing model?

Surely 19" rims , digital cockpit and dynamic chasis all included as standard , rather than options

Well it will be a while as the car isn’t officially launched yet. And the normal Octavia will come first, and after a while the vRS will be showcased.

If all that means it is in direct competition with the more expensive VAG models, then no - they wont be as standard.

The vRS is never allowed to be a direct competitor - as soon as it has all the features of say a Golf, it should be similarly priced.

We aren't going to see Octy 4 until late this year, we aren't going to see Octy 4 vRS until a good few months after that - it'll be a while.

Mk4 vRS First deliveries will be 2021 my dealer told me.

Makes sense - "halo" variants often don't start production for up to a year after the mainstream variants.

But lets be honest, dealers don't know much more than anyone else. Only basing that on having to educate them about the car I want to buy from them on 2 occasions so far. My pensioner father was told today in a Skoda dealership that he wouldnt be able to have a look at a Kamiq until 'at least april next year'. A little bit of questioning led to the discovery that this was the lady who works for the service department, dishing out numbers off the top of her head.

Anyway.... 2021 would be great, right when Im due my next car. However it will almost certainly be hybrid and overly expensive by then. I will be defaulting to some kind of dinosaur style fossil fuel car if any new ones still exist by then...
