induction kit installation

Hoping someone could help me, I have a mark 1 skoda fabia 2003 1.2, the airbox is connected directly to the engine cover with a series of pipes and tubes. I would like to install an induction kit on here but I have never seen anyone install one with the airbox being on the engine cover. The photos attached are my particular engine cover, i was thinking is there a way to possibly integrate my induction kit with the airbox, or should I just link an induction kit to the engine directly and remove the cover? How would i go about doing these things?
