Interior Monitoring Button

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Yesterday I wanted to leave the windows slightly open to help keep the air flowing through the car in the hot weather.

No problem, open the windows and turn the interior monitoring off with the button on the door pillar next to the drivers seat.

Hang on, the button isn't there!!

Anybody else noticed the button has gone??

I think if you press the lock button on the key fob twice quickly it turns off the Interior monitor

The Hand Book should tell you

You now have to scroll through menus on the screen to turn off the interior monitoring, rather than a simple push of a button.

Simply not clever

Pushing the lock button twice on the key fob did indeed turn the interior monitor off on my previous Yeti, unfortunately it also turned the deadlocks off. Not much use if your just wanting to leave the windows open a bit.

edit: just looked at my Kodiaq manual and turning off interior monitoring from the screen also turns off the deadlock.

This really is a useless bit of programming. Let open our windows for comfort and make it even easier to nik

Looks like Skoda have assumed the only reason you would want to turn the interior monitoring off is because you have left someone else in the car - Simply Not Clever :wall:

@Kenny R and others with the menu for turning it off..........

Is there also a setting to adjust it's sensitivity??? I'm sure I've read it before. Think folk mentioned setting it to about 60%

I have the button but unfortunately cannot adjust it's sensitivity without VCDS (i think). and I sometimes forget to switch it off.......Slightest breeze and it's set off if windows open even slightly.

But yes, the button is a necessity, i would say. As you guys say on yours......Simply Not Clever.

I've just finished detailing the interior of my brand new mk3 and also noticed the button on the B-pillar was missing.  Definitely a retrograde step, I used this quite a lot on my mk2.

+1 for this. A retrograde step from Skoda.
