2008/9 2l 170 Superb Front Discs

Featured Replies

Could someone confirm what discs are fitted to the front of my Superb,  some say 312mm, others say 288.   I have measured them on the car and they are showing 320mm,  could this extra size be down to corrosion on the edges of the discs.  Or should the be 312mm?   Any info would be much appreciated.

Fronts on the 170 are usually 312x25. 320 is not a valid size for the Superb at all.

Four front disc sizes are:                                                             Rears Are:

77kW 1.9 PD -                       288mm  x 25mm                           260mm x 12mm

92 kW 1.4 TFSi

77kW 1.9PD Greenline  -    312mm x 25mm                            260mm x 12mm

118 kW 1.8 TFSi

103 kW  2.0 PD

125 kW  2.0 CRD -                312mm x 25mm                           286mm x 12mm

191 kW 3.6 FSi -                    345mm x 30mm                           310mm x 22mm

Could it have been fitted with aftermarket discs?

Hi, thanks for info.  But in the email notification you state that 125kw has 320mm discs,  then when I go to Briskoda site it says 125kw has 312mm.  Now totally confused, had the car from new so not aftermarket discs.

312mm

Hi,  I'm now getting the impression that they must be 312mm and that the extra size of 320 that I measured must be due to the corroded edges of the discs.

VAG don’t do a 320 mm disc.

The correct dimension is 312mm not 320mm. I corrected the typo error 18 hours ago when re-reading the post.

Check the codes on the sticker in the boot, you'll need that for pad type as well.

Annoyingly the boot sticker doesn't have the PR code for the front brakes.

What’s the reg? will look it up for you tomorrow.

That is down to the PDi bod, two data stickers come with the service book, one is fitted to the book and the other is supposed to be stuck in the boot. Some people have no idea what it is for or how important it is.

They will not reprint them either. Or the car has had some work done on the rear after a bump.

I think they mean the data sticker is there, just the PR codes for the front brakes isn't on there. Seen this a few times with really sparely detail PR stickers. All the build info is still on ELSA though.

Looking for 1LJ from the BEV family V= Vorn Front. Or 1KJ from BEH family H = Hinton Behind
