Fabias ac hoses leaky

Featured Replies

Hey.

Dads fabia got back from dealership yesterday. Usual service. Service guy noticed couple of things. Two ac hoses are leaky, interior fan is squealing, couple of bushings need to be replaced soon on front drivetrain. As i understand that for fan replacement the whole dash has to come out. But what about ac hoses? Dealer quoted 700 euros for replaceing those two hoses. Seems little bit steep to me. Dad said that ac stoped blowing cold. He went to ac service and technician said there were somewhere small leak, but he couldn't find it (he used color dye and uv lamp for finding leak). After that ac has been working fine. Those ac hoses are oem part only? Have to replace whole hose or is it possible to swap out parts of it? I will add pictures.

The hoses are stupidly expensive and a pain to change so I’m not surprised it costs a bit. Genuine only I would imagine as they are fairly unique and probably not really a big requirement for an aftermarket option.
