Firstly I hope this message doesn't cross any rules or etiquette, but I have my heart set on buying a Fabia VRS. My first Skoda. (Owned many cars, most recently an Alfa Romeo 159 2.4 JTDm Lusso..cost me a few thousand in keeping on the road...promised myself, I wont buy another lemon!).

 

Currently, shopping in earnest. Budget between £4,500 to max £6,000 (for something special). I've read about the CAVE vs CHTE engines, but my budget limits me.

 

Found the example below,  which has the looks and spec, but 78k miles on the clock. Question is, is this excessive mileage for a mk2 vrs, for the price?

 

Any advice greatly appreciated
