Looks Like All Season Tyre Prices Are Increasing

Featured Replies

For anyone looking to make a purchase in the near futue, just noticed on the Oponeo website today some of the tyres I was interested in have went up in price by a few £'s from earlier in the week.

Cannot comment if other online retailers have increased their prices as I have ditched all my pricing paperwork since purchasing my tyres via KwikFit Mobile - £100 per tyre fully fitted compared to Oponeos £106 (now £108) tyre only price - thanks to @mark999 for the Heads Up on that one.

If they can make an extra £1-2 per tyre as people get ready for winter...

Is it just all season/winters going up in price?

If tyres are not in stock / in storage and get bought / imported as well as usual seasonal price flutuation there is the value of the GBP to compare with the Euro, Dollar, Yen or what ever.

If Old / Current stock is on the self in the UK that might be at a bit of a bargain to get them shifted.

As it is there is plenty price differences and places to buy.

ATS Euromaster and Blackcircles are both owned by Michelin and the prices for the sae tyres are not identical.

Compare with ASDA or others advertising tyres and choice of fitting places and there are all sorts of price differences greater than just a quid or 2.

205/55 R16 91V tyres (Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2) were £91 each

205/55 R16 94V XL tyres (Goodyear Vector 4Seasons Gen-2) were £71 each.

Emailed Goodyear re: fitting higher load rated tyres, they replied (as I thought) that a higher load rating would be suitable, fitted the XL tyres to my Octy, no difference in driving feel really, except for taking corners at speed where you get a bit of the "winter tyre" feel.

Might be worth exploring different speed  / higher load rated tyres for different possibly cheaper pricing!

As both my cold weather tyres and summer tyres required replacing this year (cracking around the treads on both) I decided to try All Season this winter on 17" Proteus alloys.
