Electric window not closing in 1 time

Featured Replies

Hello,

When I close my driver side window it stops 2 times in the middle and goes down again the 3th time it stops again but can go to the closed position. what is wrong with my window?

quick question can I adjust some settings so the passenger side window will close with one click, instead of holding the button on driver side?

Kind regards

Yarni

Try holding the button for driver's window up to 10 seconds when it's fully closed. This usually makes the trick. At least when the auto function of the drivers window wasn't working at my Fabia this did the job.

Unfortunately you can't do this for the passenger side since it's not automatic. This also applies for the rear windows.

It did not work for me, maybe the car thinks something is blocking the window?

Maybe... Try doing it when the window is fully opened. Hold again the button 10+ seconds and give it a try. If the problem persists then it may be something else.

When the window is functioning properly in the manual it states that the first time the window is blocked by something it will not close and get down again about half way. If this happens again within a small time limit the protection mechanism won't work thus the window will try to fully close even if something blocks it. In your case it does it 2 times in raw and on 3rd try it closes. That's odd.

On the video the window stutters just before it stops the first time up?

If the window notices resistance it will stop.

I have lubricated electric windows using French Chalk with success before.

Put some down the side channels.

Thanks AG Falco

So the blockage is still there but not so big/stuck. Heat related?

Have you lubricated the window then?

Thanks AG Falco
