Mountune parts are ford factory approved, but the remaps still invalidate the warranty (It is mentioned on their remap pages)

I know of a few ford owners that have come unstuck by not realising it, and a friend has just brought a nearly new Focus RS that was mapped, and he has a dealer warranty as the Ford one is invalid.

Thanks for pointing this out.  I (wrongly) assumed that the maps were also warranty friendly and manufacturer approved.  Funny how none of the reviews of the Mountune Fords (in Evo and similar) have ever mentioned that that the remap isn't approved.

Again, thanks for the info.

Remap definately invalidates the warranty.  Let know one convince you otherwise.

If you map a car and then there is an issue and you put the original map back on the car

a decent VAG garage can tell, there are markers if they go looking for them.  If you get a snotty

nosed kid straight from school you maybe ok but don't bank on a master tech who is sharp taking

a look and finding you out.

Personally, a proper map is better than a plug in device.  If done properly by a repeatable garage/tuning house

there should be no issues as they can map the car/engine within tolerances that they do not stress the engine and

gearbox much more then standard.

Not disputing the warranty invalidation; I was specifically referring to Mountune who are an authorised, manufacturer backed tuning house for Ford.  You can customise and upgrade your Ford with their parts and even add a remap, I just didn't know that the remaps were exempt from the warranty protection.

Front 355/32 DBA 5000 T3 rotors + hat. 6 piston calipers. EBC Yellow Stuff pads.

Rear 335/22 rotor with hat. Caliper OEM Skoda (from 280 HP). EBC as well here.

Brake line fluid made with steel cord (made by HEL).

All designed made and installed by WRK Brakes.

The very first impression is very good. Brakes are very responsable.

How much did those breaks cost and can they be bought in United Kingdom?

BBK kits usually range from £2000+ new however you could get refurbished 4 pot calipers as low as £300 but would need to source the mount bracket, discs and brake lines.

Check out facebook as they are always some on for sale.
