Featured Replies

have an issue with the n/s rear door handle not opening the interior works fine

but the outside handle feels loose/ have a lot of play when you open it

a squirt of lube solves it for a short time but its getting worse

I did read something about the cable tension but finding it hard to get any ideas how to sort this

Tried some wd40 on it last night sprayed into the handle and instantly the door would open from the outside but an hour later it has worn of

does anyone have any advice on what grease to try work in the trade so  have most of them in the building

Maybe try some spray grease but make sure you get it in there as it can be quite messy.

I've found that WD40 doesn't help if you have a plastic part sliding against a metal part.  You would be better off with silicone oil or grease.

But beware that over a few years, silicone grease/oil will creep onto other nearby surfaces.
