Under seat storage - part numbers/anybody fitted?

Featured Replies

Recently acquired an 18 plate 1.0 TSI 95 SE and i'm loving it so far.

One thing I miss from my old Ibiza (56 plate) though is the under-seat compartment - it's perfect for putting my wallet/keys in to when I go to the gym!

Has anybody fitted these theirselves? I have had seats out before and know they're normally attached by 4x star bits but was wondering if i'd come across any issues with the seatbelt sensors etc?

Also, am I looking at the right part? 6J0882602C 9B9 / 6J0882602A 9B9

Hi Skaarlaw if you do manage to get and fit the underseat boxes may not be a good idea to put anything valuable in the boxes should the car be broken into. I worked for nine years as a cook in a bail hostal. Was advised by one of the residents never to put anything of value in the glove box, door pockts or under the seats its the first places they look Joe

I never have anything of major value left in the car, my wallet is a few cards, max £5 in change and rarely more than £20 in notes. The under seat box is just quicker and easier to access for me than the glove box.

Plus the extra storage is mostly used for snacks/drinks... Might also be able to convince my fiancée she can have her own bin instead of throwing rubbish on my car floor!!!

Hope you get the under seat boxes fitted. Best wishes Joe
