Spare wheel offset

Featured Replies

Hi, I recently bought a full size wheel from a breakers. It came of a SEAT. Rim size etc match perfectly. The only difference being the offset. The wheels on the car ( Skoda Rapid Spaceback 1.6 SE TDI) are ET46. The wheel I acquired for a spare is ET43. A difference of 3mm. I have tried it on and seems to handle ok when driving. Does anyone know if this 3mm difference is or is not acceptable.

Welcome.

Acceptable as a temporary / spare wheel, drive at a reduced speed as you would or should if a 15 or 16" Saving Space wheel or a narrow Space saver wheel & tyre was used.

Odd wheels /tyres on the same axle.

?

Is the tyre a matching size to the 4 on the car?

It's three fifths of **** all

It's not a space saver it's a full size spare

As long as the rolling radius is the same then you'll never notice the difference when it's fitted
