1.5tsi Fuel economy at 3500 miles

Featured Replies

The economy started pretty poor when I got my new Karoq but now Ive reached 3500 miles it is much closer to manufacturer’s stated levels.

Yesterday I did a 77 mile trip to Manchester airport on mixed roads but mostly motorway (with usual roadworks) in highish temeratures so air con was necessary. Im more than happy with the stated figure.

tsi, dsg.....no kangarooing or other issues.....who needs deisel.

That’s a cracking return for that sort of speed with air-con......I wish my 1.0 was as good.

I would be very happy to get those figures, but the best yet was a 56mpg on a mainly M40 to Heathrow run. The current long term average is around 45mpg which compared to others is above average. Based on around 13,000 miles so far with the 1st year of ownership complete early August.

Why don't you both post pictures of the 'long-term' mpg screen for comparison?

Contrary to popular belief, air-con actually makes little difference to economy but ambient temperature certainly does.

Hilarious that the 'green' score is only 82 for the 59.2mpg.

It really is the most useless 'feature' ever put on a car.

Slightly OT.

Reading these figures confirms why I should discount a particular car as a possible future replacement.

I had been looking at the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 1.5 CVT 4x4 as a possible replacement for my current vehicle.

The only mpg quoted in the brochure was for Combined at 35mpg. All the UK based reviews were quoting a best of 32mpg, with some averaging just above mid 20's.

I've kind of got used to only having to refuel every 4 weeks or

And, just for good measure, have a screen shot of the so called 'GreenScore'.
