One door dont want to lock sometimes

Featured Replies

Hello Guys, My wife 2001 Octavia Combi 1.6i has a intemitent problemo.

When she is out of the car and hit the lock button on the remote all the doors lock less one of the rear pasanger doors. This only happends sometimes.

I have an apointment at the dealer for mid december but I am just curious if somebody have experience a similar problem and how you or the dealer fixed?

BTW, I also have a Skoda 02 1.8T. Both my wife and me love our cars, BUT men I hate sometime these cars. The cars are very good but they have some STUPID problems that I have never experience in my other japanese, american cars.

With Skoda I have experience, water getting inside the front head lights lamps, spedometer doesnt work, windows felling inside the doors and now the passenger door lock.

Thank god I have a good Skoda Dealer and they treat me like a king but men I hate to leave my wife car for two days at the dealer.............Because then My wife have to use my preciuos 1.8T :drive:

it is good to see that skoda still have the foibles from the past, it is good to buy a european car isnt it? :D

I had this problem a month or two ago; same symptoms. It is the CCU (courtesy control unit). They will need to replace this and re-code your remote central locking keys (all sets). I don't think it's a big job, I had a bit of a delay while they waited on Skoda sending them a replacement chip. The work was carried out under warranty. No problems since.
