Hi

New to site this evening. Love my Karoq (1.5 DSG EDITION). 

I have a small frustration. My Skoda Connect does not give me anything like car data, horn activation, remaining range etc. Can anyone shed any light?

Sorry, ask the right question I may get an answer. 

My Skoda Connect is only displaying: Trip planner & my dealers info. 

Should I be able see other features within Skoda connect?

this is normal..you need myskoda app so you can see all that you want... connect your phone with car, via cable using mirror link or android auto , or BT or WIFI connection, install mySkoda and enjoy

How to connect My Skoda to car via BT? I can connect and see car data (eg live battery voltage etc) with WiFi. But I'm not able to see these data if I'm connected on BT only.

hi mate,

i did not try over BT, only over hot spot, but i can do it over weekend and update you .

BTW i am trying to make some little experiment , i will purchase wifi dongle ( https://consumer.huawei.com/rs/mobile-broadband/e5573c/ ) 

and i want to put is somewhere in the car where it can be always plugged in... does anyone know where to conect it to be hidden, but in the same time to have power so internet in the car is always on ...( i do not have that SIM slot, so i need to make this mumbo jumbo combination

I have my Mifi set up in the boot using the 12v socket

 

Connects perfectly well.....but the Skoda Connect is not worth the bother....I unplug it from the socket as I don't use my car everyday

I have the same "issue" as you so I made contact with Skoda UK.... they tell me that cars built after Nov 2018 require you to also purchase "Care Connect" if we want to see more features, such as honk and flash, trip data etc.... and this can not currently be aftermarket added..... 😞

 

I can only get the data when connected to the car - I connect via wifi with a 4G internet connection setup in boot like 33q does.

I have the same issue with my Edition 2.0 dsg 4x4, just bought last week. It comes with 12 months of free Skoda connect , but although I’ve established the link and security aspects , I can’t receive any data . The app on my iPhone just shows “ There was a problem !” , when I click on the battery , lights , doors or any other data request . Anyone had the same issue please ?

nope with Android i described what i have done..but for iPhone i do not know really...maybe some simple solution like restart your phone, check if the car has internet...i will try to find some iphone and test it, but can not promise when ...

Thanks  Shortee. Rainworth Mansfield have escalated the problem to Skoda, so I’ll let you know what they say .

i have tested wife Iphone 8 and it is working just fine, even better then android ...so it must be problem with your phone/car system..update us what was the resolution in your case... Cheers

 

Thanks Shortee. I’ll gave another go once I can connect the car to my WiFi at home on the drive and then try to get the data to my WiFi .
