I have searched about but can't find how to access the side light on my Superb Mk3, I've a bulb out, checked guides and they are all for the Octavia, 

Head is fried.. I know I've missed the guide as it's about somewhere... Anyone a link to the guide?? 

Turns out I'm old and have been searching for the wrong thing...   Sidelights are now called Daytime Running Lights...  DRL...

As the front bulbs are a doddle on Halogen lights (just remove the rubber cap) I assume it's a rear bulb.

It's fully explained in the manual.

Open the rear hatch and there's a plastic panel on each side with a hole, these panels are in line with the light assembly.

Use the tool with the hook that came with the car and insert it into the hole and pull the plastic panel off.

Remove the two screws that are revealed (the correct size screwdriver is even included with the car).

Slide the light assembly forward a few inches and remove the connector behind it, making sure you keep the light assembly supported as it will otherwise drop.

You can now fully remove the light assembly and replace the bulb.

Reassembly is just the reverse but when reinserting the light assembly make sure the lugs at the rear slide into the corresponding sockets.

Not the rear,  it is the front DRL I need to replace...  Sweet God it's an operation...  

But once off I see people recommend just putting duct tape over the entry to save hassle in the future....  

Slightly off topic but the front indicator bulbs, looks like you have to go in via the wheel arch removing the liner?

Same thing for the DRL, I have a neighbour who used to work in Halfords and can't help himself but get involved when he sees a car in a jack or a bonnet open, so I'll do the job some day he is about... Best about it is he doesn't even like me...
