Wheel wobble

Featured Replies

Haven't been in the motorway in a while when I got up to 70ish I could feel a wobble with the steering wheel Alos I feel it through the accelerator pedal. I've had new tyres all round also new discs and pads in front with no change at all. The shaking is still there any advice if where to live forward from here.

First check for a suspected balance problem; is the yellow dot on the tyre wall next to the valve stem?

No spots on tyres at all

Ah, that may be part of the trouble. There should be a yellow spot to mark the light spot in the tyre, which goes next to the valve stem to compensate for its mass.

Just had front tracked and balanced and still got problem felt more in seat and actual car so had wheels balanced on back. I will try it on motorway tomorrow hopefully it has sorted it.

Did you only have the front end checked? I'm wondering if a rear wheel is buckled from a pot hole etc.

A tyre place can pop it on a wheel balancing machine and likely tell.
