Hi I have a 3 yr old Octavia 1.3 green line 

I have had it for just under a yr and the sevice warning had come on again it was supposed to be serviced when I brought it and it’s had a major sevice 3 month ago now I have oil change warning come up thought a new car would go at least a yr with out a oil change it’s on a fixed term sevice and three days before the warning came on I had a letter stating it needed servicing 

also they said the cambelt needs changing with next sevice

Sounds like the 'tech' got the online service paperwork wrong. Probably failed to reset the service display as well.

AFAIK cambelt is 5 years or 120,000km on that car, but double check this please,

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but:

 

1: I thought Greenline models were all 1.6tdi ?

 

2: I also thought Octavia came in 1.2tsi and 1.4tsi, but not 1.3 ?

So a tech likely never set the Service Indicator correctly.

 

So what engine is it, and how many miles in the 3 years covered, and is there an Invoice for the supposed service, and what miles was the Major Service done at 3 months ago?
