I've had a Passat 1.9TDI for 18 years but, sadly, it's time to let it go. People have suggested the Octavia as a good replacement.

 

Because of two busy young kids and a job, I'm a bit low on time to research, so do people mind helping?

 

Which models have petrol engines? I'm looking at spending maybe £6k to max £10k, could do with a large boot, but not an estate, as I live in a city full of narrow streets with limited parking.

 

Any suggestions? TIA 

Pretty much any Octavia trim level at your suggested price point was available with at least one petrol and one diesel engine option.

 

Also I'm not sure why you think a 4.6m long hatchback will be easier to park than a 4.6m long estate?
