Dent in roof

Featured Replies

Picked up my brand new car yesterday, gave it a once over at the dealers but later in the day spotted an annoying dent in the roof. Bit peed off that it wasn't spotted before the handover, obviously I've told them today. Question is, I wonder what they can do as I don't want it filled etc.

@BarryG - This really needs eyes on to be certain, but there are firms that can pull out shallow dents.

Cheers, I shall be asking the dealer about how they will fix it. First Skoda I've bought with an issue, so quite calm about it!

They will no doubt try the easiest route, and pull it with a suction cup from above. If the headlining needs to come out so it can be pushed from the inside, check the headlining inside the car when you collect it.They are easily marked, even with carefully handling. You might see finger dents or marks on the texture of the lining surface......

Absolutely. I'm sure there's a dent there, but I can't judge how big or how deep from the OP's photo.

All fixed today, they got a dent removal guy in with 24 years experience. He pushed it out from inside in less than 5 minutes, top bloke. Went in through side of headlining.

I hope that they gave you some good compensation for your time, trouble and having a sub standard new car when the defect should have been picked up at PDI.

Erm, no just an apology. I bought a Fabia from them too, part of the rubber seal around the inside of the window frame was hanging off! Obviously they have blind people doing Pdi work. Will go elsewhere for servicing and any other work.
