2019 Fabia Monte Carlo

Featured Replies

My Yeti, had a boot/5th door that unlocked on the keyfob then relocked on closure acknowledged by indicators flashing.

I assumed this would be the same on my Fabia Monte Carlo, so I was surprised when no lights flashed and the hatch /boot

did not lock. Is it supposed to auto lock?

My 15 plate SEL has the boot unlock button, it also locks automatically with a flash of the indicators. Perhaps ask your dealer, maybe theres a faulty sensor somewhere or a setting set wrong.

The autolocking only happens when ALL the car doors are locked before opening the tailgate with the fob.

So, for example, if you've been shopping, return to the car and open the tailgate only with the fob, when you shut the tailgate the door relocks.

If that doesn't happen talk to your Skoda garage.

As above no auto locking when you open doors. I have coded mine to auto lock once all doors are closed. Although not advised if you don’t have Kessy because you can lock your keys in.

I took the Fabia in this a.m. boot locking checked out as working fine but

there is a 20 second delay on locking "in case you leave your keys in the boot!"

I also complained about the horn and they checked it against the Citygo, as

suggested on this forum, they concede that the Citygo horn was louder

and commanded more attention but cannot change it without a fault being evident.

The almost absent horn! It's really pathetic. But having to remove the battery and battery cradle paraphernalia makes it a PIA job just to change the horn. Maybe if it fails...

News to me!

My cars horn came detached from its mount after hitting a pothole, took it to the dealer and they refitted it under warranty, as it wasn't attached properly to begin with. It's not the loudest horn anyway.

As none of the sales staff mentioned it, it was news to me as well! but it can be switched off.
