Fair weather fabia ?

Featured Replies

Because the electric window won't work after a downpour, until a few days later (with fair weather) ?

The wires under the 'bellows' don't look damaged.

But, with the 'fair weather' , it's working now ..

Probably corroded connections on the door module connectors which aren't weatherproof cos the inside of a Fabia is supposed to be dry...

Fix all leaks into the cabin and it may stay 'fair weather' inside the car more of the time.

I have never noticed leaks into the cabin, where would it be from at that height above the floor ?

Mine does the same thing, I have fixed three of the doors, but still need to do the drivers side. I think as mentioned before somehow the water hits the control module and causes issues, when I have time I will strip the drivers side as well and fix that too

I don't think it's about water getting directly onto the door module, more that the humidity levels inside the car will promote lots of condensation if e.g. the rear footwell carpets and sound insulation beneath are sodden due to the ever-common rear carrier leaks.
