Any pics of aftermarket grills

Featured Replies

My thoughts on the original look is that there is a lot of height, which the vertical slats exaggerated on the big main grill then the lower grill and headlight shape made it worse. It makes the whole car look tall and ungainly.

The Passat has horizontal grille slats and that makes it look wider and lower. If there was some way to replace the grille with something else, that might make a difference, and the eyebrows might help reduce the effect of all that height.

Couple of pics with just the eyebrows to help you decide.

Fitting the grille does need you to cut off the bonnet lever - pic attached explains why. The Milotec comes with a very neat button at the bottom of the grille to release the bonnet. All aftermarket grilles that don't have a big hole for the lever will need something to replace it. going back to original would mean a bit of work though.

Are the Superb and Passat bumpers the same shape?

No mate they are completely different.

I think you could be rigth with that comment mate but I still stand by my orginal post, if you lower the car the grille looks great as is.

You might have hit the nail on the head with the vertical slats. I am sure it is a combination of things and everything that has been suggested, lowering, wider wheels etc would help immensely, but that grill might be having more of an effect than I had realised. Hmmm, time to fire up the search engine me thinks!
