I'm going to go with the flow - pardon the pun - and do an oil and filter change pretty soon to 5w30, my next question will be how do I reset the service interval widget. 😁

Use VCDS or OBD11. I use OBD11 as I find it more user friendly and more polished than the rather clunky and cumbersome VCDS which requires the use of a laptop.

Until they make VCDS a more user friendly experience with the option to use it with a Android phone or tablet then I won't be using it. It was a waste of money in my case.

  • If you buy 0w20 you will be a regular repeat customer.

  • Ok. Having come from a Disco 4 and the associated mega threads on D4 pages regarding oil I have read this one with interest.    I definitely do not want to upset anyone and everyone has view

  • Remember to check the tyre pressures on collection date the muppets who did my tyre pressures set them to 3.5bar all round which is dangerous on a performance model at nearly 50lb/psi. Idiots.

Just reviving this thread (and a few others) - those of you that ran 0W-20, how did you fare?

My vRS 245 (2020) is due it's first change, and I'm tossing up between 0W-20 and 0W-30.

🙂
