I have a JVC radio that I purchased 18 months ago.

 

It doesn’t store the date and time settings, although saves the preset radio stations. 

 

I cant see how I can have wired it in wrong, everything simply plugs in. (I’ve tried my aerial booster on two different wires, just in case that was having an effect.)

 

Is the radio likely to be faulty, or perhaps I’ve done something wrong 

At a guess it is missing a permanent 12V supply at the correct wire.

Take headunit out and swap the red and yellow wires at the back so it goes

 

red ——> yellow

yellow——-> red

My JVC drops the odd day off the date if the fascia panel is off it for a number of days.

 

Red and yellow wires swap may help. Fuses 10 and 45 need to be intact.

Thanks for the info. I’ve checked the fuses this morning, both look fine. I never take the facia panel off so can’t blame it on that
