Help! NSF drive shaft oil/grease

Featured Replies

Hi All

Please can you advise me the grease/oil around the driveshaft joint where it connects to the engine is likely to be. Flexible gasket seems fine.  Please see pictures.

Thanks

Tom

It's likely to be gearbox oil leaking from the seal.

Clean it up and see how long it takes to return to that appearance. Likely to be unworthy of attention in my opinion, unless it's dripping out.

Thanks both.  It’s a 2005 model with 61K recently purchased.   Had another look and both joints are like it. Either side of gear box.   Pic. below is NSF and one above was actually OSF.....camera in odd angle!!
