OEM number for SKODA e5 Octavia vRS 2015 (challenge)

Featured Replies

Can anyone help me??!

Immediate apology if this topic is somewhere on the web but it looks like my internet browsing skill is not sufficient to find it 😞

My SKODA e5 Octavia vRS 2015 (challenge) is in need of front brake pad change and I am trying to use some after market solution as I am not particularly happy about the OEM brake pads (maybe brembo).

Problem: after checking multiply sources I totally failed to much a correct brake pads, I can find OEM part number even that I have photos of the brake pads (below). Some of the consultants from multipul online stores had tryied to help me but what they had provided really is not reassuring as non of the number much.

Maybe one of club meber can help me to estblish the exact OEM part number for set of front brake pads for me car VIN: TMBAE9NE1F0123099

Took about 5mins of googling to find this. I've used EBC Red and Green pads to replace VW Group OEM pads previously.

I'd look at some Red Stuff pads. I took my 2003 Stage 1 (Running 230-240bhp), aftermarket suspension Seat Leon Cupra to Bedford Autodrome with Red stuff fitted and despite repeated hard braking did not get any fade. The OEM pads I could easily get to fade with spirited public road driving by comparison.

Thanks for the tip regarding EBC, I am looking for other manufactures at the moment to test them as I am quit familiar with EBC products.

Never the less I am still looking for OEM part number as I need to have definitive prove will ordering that I am buying correct pad model (for my car) as return is not an option (for me).

What other brands/pads/material you looking at? post them up

OE pads above are Jurid 310-A GG <this is the friction material rating - HH is better.

Is the 483 A17 5Q0 115M not the OEM part number?

Again they have mutiple options but seems to give brake pad reference number

The numbers printed on the individual pads may not lead you easily to the VW group part number for a set of pads, which is what you really need.

OEMwolf is a handy site as it not only tells you about superseded part numbers, but also gives you the subcomponents' part numbers for kit parts like a set of brake pads.

This page is a match to the info printed on your pads, I think, scroll down the page to the listing of the five subcomponents, and at least two of them, in abbreviated form, are present on your pad pictures:

https://oemwolf.com/oem-parts/8v0698151c.html

So the part number you need for a pad set is 8V0 698 151C, I think.

THANK YOU FREEDOM and Scotty72 ! Exactly i had a big problem to identify what would b the set OEM number, after even further  digging on 7zap and catalog parts for GTI I found that the part number is 8V0 698 151 C. I was struggling because I was not sure what is the PR number (I am not very skillful in VAG group just came in from MB) and apparently it is PR-1LG (oh well you learn every day). Thank you so much!

I could not risk to buy the incorrect parts as I need to ship them to Qatar and return well will be rather impossibly 😛.
